We have been delivering our unique brand of practical consulting to a diverse group of clients, from small-town financial institutions to multi-national Fortune 500 corporations for more than 40 years. We are proud of our reputation—even among competitors—for being thorough, focused and results-oriented. We serve clients throughout the Midwest and Southeast from our Lexington office and a satellite office in Louisville.

In the early days of Preston-Osborne (then known as The Preston Group), campaign management and consulting were at the forefront of the firm’s offerings. That experience proved invaluable when founder Thomas L. Preston shifted the firm’s focus from campaigns to public relations and marketing. One thing that differentiated us from our competitors is the belief that research should be the cornerstone of any marketing or public relations effort. Preston insisted that research be incorporated into a PR or marketing campaign whenever possible.

In 1985, Phil Osborne joined the company. He, too, was a believer in the power of research. Under his guidance, the firm launched an internal research division in 1988 to provide an essential service to clients. Osborne purchased the company in 1997, and since then, the research arm of the business has grown significantly.
