			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Preston-Osborne received a Silver ADDY<sup>&reg;</sup> Award for their “David Lord Invitation” project for the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau at the annual District 5 ADDY<sup>&reg;</sup> Awards. The project had previously won a Gold ADDY<sup>&reg;</sup> from the Lexington ADDY<sup>&reg;</sup> Awards in February.</p>
<p>The ADDY<sup>&reg;</sup> Awards are sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) to recognize creative excellence in advertising. AAF Lexington is part of the AAF’s fifth district, which includes Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.</p>

<h3>Preston-Osborne received Gold ADDY<sup>®</sup> Awards for:</h3>

<li>the Anthany &amp; Eunice Beatty Family Foundation “Beatty Foundation Non-Event” project in the Public Service Invitation category;</li>
<li>the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau “David Lord Invitation” project in the Special Event Invitation category; and</li>
<li>Morgan &amp; Pottinger, P.S.C. “Spring Conference Door Hanger” and “Winter Conference-Protection” projects in the Special Event Card category.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Silver ADDY<sup>®</sup> Awards were earned for:</h3>
<ul>
<li>the University Press of Kentucky “University Press of Kentucky Logo” project in the Logo category; and</li>
<li>Morgan &amp; Pottinger, P.S.C. “Morgan &amp; Pottinger Fall Campaign” project in the Consumer/Trade Campaign, Color category.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Bronze ADDY<sup>®</sup> Awards were earned for:</h3>
<ul>
<li>the Central Baptist Hospital “Heart Care-Central Baptist Hospital” project in the Brochure, Color category; and</li>
<li>Video Editing Services “Southern Starts Here” project in the National TV, Consumer Services category.</li>
</ul>
<p>At the close of the event, Preston-Osborne received two additional ADDY<sup>®</sup> Awards for the Anthany &amp; Eunice Beatty Family Foundation “Beatty Foundation Non-Event” project in the Copywriting Excellence and Judge’s Choice categories.</p>
<p>Staff members who attended on behalf of the company included creative director Bill Michul, senior graphic designer Dave Jones, and account managers Katelyn Rademacher, Amy Dedman and Miranda Combs Harvey.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lashae Kittinger has joined Preston-Osborne as public policy manager. Kittinger has been with the firm since August, when she began as an intern.</p>
<p>Kittinger will be responsible for managing public policy issues for Preston-Osborne’s clients in the energy and environment, health care, and education. She’ll monitor state government activity in Frankfort and provide insight to clients on best approaches to government relations, strategic policy planning and grassroots coalition building.</p>
<p><span id="more-901"></span></p>
<p>Kittinger is a native of Calhoun, Ky., and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2008. Kittinger then went on to pursue her legal education at the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law and graduated last May. During her third year of law school, she was a graduate fellow with the Legislative Research Commission in Frankfort. Kittinger also was recently sworn in to the Kentucky Bar.</p>
<p>“Public policy discourse and engagement have always been in our arsenal of services,” Osborne said. “Now it will have a full-time face and focus to make sure our clients are represented effectively.”</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Preston-Osborne was recognized recently for several industry honors. Five awards were presented at the 2011 Traverse Awards for Excellence in Tourism Marketing at the Lexington Center, and three during the 29th Annual IABC/PRSA Landmarks of Excellence Awards in Louisville.</p>
<p>At the Traverse Awards ceremony, work created by Preston-Osborne on behalf the Danville/Boyle Co. Convention and Visitors Bureau, won two first place awards. The first was for the “Print Ad—Single Ad” category for the “Unobstructed View of History,” and the second in the “Website Ad” category for the “Respect the Bourbon, Drink the Beer” campaign.</p>

<p>Additional work developed by Preston-Osborne won two first place awards on behalf of the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau’s (LCVB) “Southern Starts Here” campaign in the categories of “Television Advertisement” and “Print Ad—Series.” The LCVB and Preston-Osborne also received a second place award for the Keeneland Concours e-blast in the category of “Direct Promo—Single Item.”</p>
<p>At the IABC/PRSA Awards, Preston-Osborne was presented with a Merit award in the “Overall Communications Program” category for a community relations program created to increase visibility of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky. The firm also received two Honorable Mention awards. The first in the “Publications” category for a revised newsletter design for Morgan &amp; Pottinger that emphasized the firm’s brand, improved the piece’s visual appeal and decreased production expenses. The second Honorable Mention was in the “Writing” category for an op-ed written on behalf of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky to highlight innovative approaches to curbing obesity.</p>
<p>“We are thankful for great clients who are willing to partner with us on award-winning work,” said Phil Osborne, CEO. “It’s a privilege to be recognized for our efforts, but more so for our dedication to achieving our client’s goals.”</p>
<p>The Traverse Awards are presented each year by the Kentucky Travel Industry Association (KTIA) for the best work in advertising and marketing. The awards are open to KTIA and Kentucky Hotel and Lodging Association members offering tourism products or services in Kentucky. Each entry is judged by a panel of industry experts on effectiveness, creativity and how well it relates to its audience.</p>
<p>The Landmarks of Excellence Awards ceremony has become one of the region’s best showcases of communications talent. The event is hosted annually by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC-Kentucky) and the Public Relations Society of America (Bluegrass Chapter of PRSA) to recognize participants for excellence in planning, creativity and execution of programs that strive to expand and enhance the public image of clients.</p>

<p>Preston-Osborne received Gold ADDY<sup>®</sup> Awards for the UK College of Medicine’s 50th Anniversary Retrospective Book and Favoriteroad.com’s screensaver. Silver ADDY<sup>®</sup> Awards were earned for the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau’s ‘Un’ Ad Series, the UK College of Medicine’s 50th Anniversary Celebration for out-of-home collateral, and the Downtown Lexington Corporation’s proposed management district’s new logo design. The firm was also presented the coveted Public Service Cash Award for work done on behalf of the Lexington Philharmonic’s Horsetails 2010 Commemorative Book. The Philharmonic, as the winning non-profit organization, was presented with a check for $1,000 from AAF Lexington. Preston-Osborne also received a Bronze ADDY<sup>®</sup> for Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau’s WEG Window Graphics and a Tall ADDY<sup>®</sup> for the Hyatt Regency Lexington’s Blue Fire Grill Grand Opening Invitation.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau and their marketing firm partner, Preston-Osborne, were recently recognized at the Kentucky Tourism Council’s 2010 Traverse Awards for Excellence in Tourism Marketing.</p>
<p>The LCVB received an Honorable Mention in the Print Ad category for the “Un” Advertising Series, as well as an Honorable Mention in the Out-of-Home Advertising category for signage promoting the World Equestrian Games on the Bureau’s windows. Receiving the top award in the Specialty Item for Sale category was the Thoroughbred Trail Audio Tour CD.</p>

<p>All of the 2010 Traverse Awards were presented on Tuesday, October 19th during the Kentucky Tourism Industry’s Annual Conference for tourism marketing professionals across the Commonwealth. The 2010 conference was held in the Covington Convention Center and the Marriott RiverCenter in Covington, Kentucky. Preston-Osborne was represented at the ceremony by President of Marketing &amp; Communications, David Caldwell and Administrative Account Assistant, Deborah Crowdus.</p>
<p>“To continually be recognized for the hard work and dedication that goes into the marketing of Lexington is an honor, especially during this unprecedented year of tourism for the state of Kentucky,” said Caldwell. “Every member of the Kentucky Tourism Council has gone above and beyond in 2010 to show the rest of the world just how much Kentucky has to offer, and we are proud to have been a part of that.”</p>
